A Work of Art (2022) Costume Designer
Based on Anton Chekhov's renowned short story of the same name, A Work of Art lampoons its male characters for their misplaced morality, and their obsession with reputation and prestige. Unable to refuse his kindness, the Doctor elects to quietly pass the gift on, to an acquaintance who also finds it embarrassingly inappropriate. As the cycle of reluctant acceptance and hurried abandon persists, we realize the inevitable and deserving home for this work of art, is with the only person who sees it as one. The twisting tale of social chagrin, moral posturing, and artistic debate, this short film concisely and humorously examines our propensity to let the opinions of others shape action.

Lehman. Gier frisst Herz (2018) Costume Designer
The grand docudrama 'Lehman. Greed Eats Heart' portrays the countdown to the great crash primarily from the perspective of the savings bank and its customers. Emotional, fact-based, and thrilling, the fictional presentation is based on intensive conversations with insiders. The dramatization of facts is documented through the memories of responsible actors from the banking world and politics, through statements from those affected, and historical material. This blend of fictional condensation and interviews makes it understandable and emotionally tangible how the events of September 15, 2008, unfolded and what this Monday triggered. The film focuses on the fate of unaware bank customers, like the innkeepers Claudia and Torsten Büttner (played by Susanne Schäfer and Oliver Stokowski), who lose all their savings due to the bank's collapse, as well as the behavior of bank advisors, who often become ruthless sellers under pressure from above, often equally oblivious. Among them is the savings bank employee Arno Breuer (Joachim Król), who sells Lehman certificates against his better judgment, and the young online banker Nele Fromm (Mala Emde), who acts recklessly out of excessive ambition and the pursuit of hefty bonuses. The fictional scenes are complemented by documentary interviews with eyewitnesses. Voices include affected German bank customers, as well as politically and economically responsible figures from that time. The radical openness in the interviews is both surprising and captivating, featuring then-ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet, former German Finance Minister Peer Steinbrück, Karl Dannenbaum, former managing director of Lehman Germany, and Andrew Gowers, who was the communications director of Lehman Brothers in London in 2008. What emerges is an impressive mosaic of dramatized scenes and eyewitness interviews, illustrating the relevance and scale of the century's greatest bankruptcy. It offers a completely new perspective on the events of September 2008 and what followed.
