In February 2021, three space missions went into the Mars orbit, with the aim to look for water on the planet. These incredible ventures are no doubt of great value for humanity. However, while these ventures look for water on Mars, the mission for this film was different. 1 in 10 people on Earth still don’t have access to clean water - this film was made to bring a new angle to the global water crisis. The Girl Who Built a Rocket tells the story of Fara, a young Madagascan girl who imagines building a spaceship to go to Mars and find water for her town, only to find that the help she needs is already on Earth. The film also includes a voiceover by award-winning journalist Sir Trevor McDonald and features a specially composed soundtrack of David Bowie’s 1971 iconic hit Life on Mars.

Meow or Never was conceived as an idea of a friendship love story between two very differing characters. Neeraja Raj, the director, had always envisioned making a whimsical comedy musical stop-motion animation film, and these two characters - Pucha, the catstronaut and Blip, the space pup came naturally to the forefront of her imagination. She wanted to tackle a deep philosophical question in a lighthearted manner, with some jokes sprinkled in between and so with the help of Diana Podra, the producer and Vanessa Rose, the co-writer, the story of a cat looking for the meaning of life emerged. Based off of Neeraja's watercolor illustrations, the characters were brought to life as puppet armatures by the model making team and 7 different beautiful sets purely made out of paper were created, mimicking her initial designs. Neeraja worked with MBE-awarded, Olivier-winner actress Sheila Atim and Jayne Wisener of Sweeney Todd fame to sing the characters to life. Production for the film took long hour workdays in hot film sets and the whole process required a 90+ crew team working across all different aspects of the film (located in UK, Brazil, India and New York). The film took 14 months to complete, from start of December 2018 to finish in Feb 2020. It was a mammoth effort from a brilliant team that worked cohesively and coherently to form a beautiful story of friendship.

Assisted the Animation Development department of Disney Media Networks and worked on a project on 'developing a concept for a new animated show for the Indian kids demographic'. Developed the story, synopsis, characters, the world and the animation style for the show. Presented the same with an animated clip at the end of my tenure, and as part of my BA graduation film thesis work.

Worked as a stop motion animator on Guardians Evolution Season 3 for APTN, a Canadian TV network. The show was my first job as a stop-motion animator and I earned it after doing a test animation for them at Moppet Studios, Goa. Here's the synopsis for the show: Join Arimus & his young team as they race to save post-apocalyptic earth from evil Ambrona & his robots in this stop-motion television adventure. Guardians Evolution takes kids on a wild ride into the distant future where a group of teens take on evil to save post-apocalyptic earth. Funny, exciting and filled with adventure, this show is a wild and cautionary environmental tale.
