'Black Bodies' focuses on some of the devastating impacts that racial injustice results in. This was a community driven project that worked with youth and real people from the community, who live this experience day to day, as extras and performers in the film.

As a young girl the first beauty salon a girl is introduced to is between her mother’s legs. It’s a place where innocence is treasured, bonds are strengthened and confidence is boosted. For Jada, as her mother Janice is routinely doing her hair she finds solace in-between her mother’s legs to confess earth shattering news.

Black White Blue

inspired by the 2016 shootings of unarmed black people by the police. Murry wanted to explore the societal frameworks that allow these incidents to keep happening as well as what it would be like to be a Black female officer that would have to deal with allegiances to both the force and the Black community.
