“I’ve never thought of myself as a woman cartoonist; I just was a cartoonist who happened to be a woman.” Liza Donnelly draws cartoons for The New Yorker, The New York Times, CBS and CNN, among others. Ten years ago, she was inspired to write a book, Funny Ladies, which celebrated the female cartoonists working in a male-dominated profession. In this film, Liza describes how she works, what inspires her, and why recent political events have created a vibrant new environment for women in the industry.
