    Evelyne Datl Composer for Film and TV

    Evelyne Datl is a Composer for Film and TV based in Toronto. After receiving her degree in classical piano performance, she studied electronic music at University of Toronto electronic music lab. Soon after she joined a rock band and became known as one of few session/ sidewomen keyboard players in the Canadian music industry. Her palette as a composer has been enriched by her years performing as keyboard player/pianist in bands and ensembles with award winning Canadian artists such as singer/songwriter Shirley Eikhard, Alannah Myles, The Parachute Club, Hemispheres New Music Orchestra and others. She has composed music for award winning television drama, documentary, comedy, and kid’s shows which have been broadcast on CBC, W Network, Treehouse, Discovery, NBC, CW and others. She has composed soundtracks for short films which have screened at Cannes and TIFF, and feature films which won awards at numerous film festivals. Evelyne came in as “finalist” for her instrumental composition in the U.S.A. Songwriting Competition 2015.
